Ernest Onesmo Chiwanga, born in Dodoma, the capital city of Tanzania – the dry, semi arid area, in a poor family of 7 siblings. He received public primary and secondary education in the same area. During his childhood he was so creative and a lot of artistic skills which of many things, he had great passion in wildlife and was able to draw a lot of wild animals from pictures as the area did not have wild animals at all. His passion to wildlife made him study Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies majoring in Natural Resources Management.
Ernest’s thirst for wildlife was sealed when he moved to Arusha and studied Safaris and Tour Guiding Courses with Customer Care Skills. His love affair with affair with Tourism was made possible in 2006, when he joined Grumeti Reserves at Sasakwa Lodge in the western part of Serengeti National Park as a Guide Trainee where he got a lot of guide training and worked there as a Full Resident Guide leading Walking Safaris, Game drive Safaris, Cultural Tours until 2007. His passion for tourism exploration then led him move back to Arusha where he worked with different tour companies as a Safari guide, Trip Leader, Safaris and Holidays, Mountain Climbing Expeditions Consultant where he gained a lot of experience.
Ernest worked with Summits Africa, Ranger Safaris and African Environments and guided groups of National Geographic Adventures, Mountain Travel Sobek, Mountain Madness and Wilderness Travel and made a lot of friends. In May 2015, he voluntarily resigned from employment and started a safari company as a Director. He has been doing excellent in his business ddue to his ability to manage unparalleled climbing expeditions and safaris experience and understanding of nature, while learning about new cultures and reaching new limits as complimentary ingredients required to create unique trips by balancing luxury and adventure.

Ernest’s free time is spent in paper writing about Conservation of Natural Resources where one of his published paper is “Indegenous Knowledge Systems in Conservation of Natural Resources – 2005”, in 2011 he presented a paper in the 7th World Ranger Congress which took place in Tanzania. His paper was “Living With Your Enemies” which explained about the real life Rangers in Africa face in efforts to protect Africa’s wildlife.
